Rutherglen
Community Carers are a registered charity, Scottish Charity No.
SC027037 and a Company Ltd by guarantee SC208831. It is
inspected by and registered with the Care Commission, CS 200 407 1270.
The project was established in 1993 and aims to provide care,
understanding and support to those who care for relatives
or friends in the community who have dementia or mental
ill health.
The services available are home based respite, carers
support group, early diagnosed dementia group, advice and
information, library service, counselling and carers education
group.

Our
People
The
project is governed by a voluntary management committee composed of
local people who have an interest in the work and are often
carers themselves. The Committee has responsibility for providing
leadership, financial control and all aspects of legislative
requirements for the organisation.
The committee employ trained staff who provide much
needed home care respite to families in the Rutherglen area.
There are also a number of valuable volunteers who are readily
available to assist with group outings and other projects. The
office staff consists of a -Project
Administrator; a
Care Co-ordinator and a Dementia Development
Co-ordinator. |
